Nooma/Open
The new Nooma video came out this month! (YEAH)
I love the discussions that come from these videos. The newest one looks like it may be the best one yet. (atleast to me)

Has anyone read or heard anything about this book?

This is the books description from the website… (I didn’t write this…I haven’t read the book yet…)
I’m interested!!! I love books like these.
But… what do you think?
Do you think books like these help or hurt?
Except for the fact that I’m a big dork and I know it…
Oh and I was telling someone this week about that one time when I got to meet Rob Bell at The God’s Aren’t Angry Tour…
Oh and I got my copy of Velvet Elvis autographed…

Yeah
That’s all.
So here are my Flat Stanley pictures that ended up not making the cut.
They probably don’t need to give much explanation on why I didn’t think it was a good idea to send them to 6 and 7 year old kids. But just in case…here you go.

Flat Stanley at the park…my kids thought he needed to GO.

Alright, I know this looks morbid. Well, alright it is morbid.
There was actually a Civil War battle fought on this hill. It’s History!
The South lost this one…

This was at the Patton. Umm. I thought it was interesting. Not appropiate but intersting

This was an innocent Flat Stanley with a tank shot. I noticed later it looks like he might be a captive.
Alright.. that’s all for now.
Fact about me #1
I Love to Read.
I do realize I am Not reading in the above picture. It is however hard to photograph yourself while reading a book. Not impossible….but hard.
Anyway, finally my kids are old enough that I have free time to read again! Yeah!
I have some catching up to do.
I bought some books at the Christian Bookstore the other day. (mainly because my little card was full and I was going to get a discount. I’m a sucker for a discount.) Not that there is anything wrong with the Christian bookstore… I’d rather go to the regular bookstore or amazon. I find you pay a little extra for the Christian on your bookstore.
Anyway, I got some interesting book.
First on my list
The Irresistible Revolution. Living as an ordinary radical
I’m pretty sure I’m not a radical. (you never know though :) ) But I like what I’ve read so far. I’m finding that you can find value in the extremes. It may not be “you”…but it may cause you to examine yourself and make “you” better.
If it makes you think about things, it was worth it.
