The Devil is Where Now?

March 19, 2008

(in response to the question…Why don’t you like Country Music?)

Growing up all I remember listening to was Christian music…

(other types weren’t banned or anything like that, but being a P.K. that’s just all there was most of the time.)

and mostly Southern Gospel.

Steel guitar…the works

I have grown now as an adult to despise all things Southern Gospel.

(and anything that sounds country for that matter.)

Sometimes, I even cringe a little…

I thought I’d share one of the reasons why…

This song is a classic…

These look like very nice ladies, but I’m pretty sure the devil can afford a cell phone.

And what is a “spiritual gun”?

The World of Chapters…

March 19, 2008

Yesterday David read his first Chapter book to his Kindergarten class.

and then he read it to me on the way home…

and then again when we got home…

I have a feeling I’m gonna be hearing There Was an Old Lady who Swallowed Fly Guy A LOT.

:) And I’ll love every minute of it.

Number 3

March 19, 2008

That’s right, I am now on my 3rd Samsung u 740 in 3 months.

Once again thank God for phone insurance.

Ok, the first time was totally my fault. (water damage)

Second time my new phone quit working in the upright position after about 2 weeks…

I could use speaker phone, but how practical is that with 2 kids and a dog in the background?

Now I am on phone number 3.

It just arrived today.

Wish me luck.

The Moonwalk.

March 17, 2008

So, my poor little son has been in trouble at school lately…

There is nothing worse than having to pull a stick in Kindergarten.

His offenses include…playing rock paper scissors at the lunch table and talking too loud to his friends.

hum?  Being too social and too loud?

That’s genetic!

(no one in our house is too social or loud. except of course for me, my husband and my daughter…)

The poor kid is screwed.

This week had to pull a stick again.

This time for an apparent moon walk.

( he has been watching America’s Best Dance Crew with his dad)

This is the conversation I overheard between him and my mother yesterday.

Nana- So you had to pull a stick today David?

David- yeah. :(

Nana- What were you doing to get in trouble?

David- I was walking backwards into my classroom.

Nana- Oh. Backwards. You know that’s a sign of intelligence?

David- oh. You know Nana…I can spell my name backwards.

r-e-v-i-l-o  d-i-v-a-d

Nana- interesting.

Just a hunch, but I think he might be bored in Kindergarten.

When Dance Offs Go Bad.

March 14, 2008

Come on, W.W.J.D. People?  ;)

There is way too much mascot on mascot violence these days.

Eli the Eagle from Oral Robers University vs. Jawz the Jaguar.

I have to wonder what they were really fighting about though?

I_do_have_a_guess..

It’s all pretty sad really.

(or they could have been fighting because the big cat knocked the head off of the big eagle.)

Broaster?

March 11, 2008

So, a lot of people have been stopping by my blog and apparently they are all looking for Broaster chicken…

Oh Well, Can’t win them all.

Here are some important Broaster facts for you…

(I would like to add that the little chicken on the box looks very happy that he is about to be broasted. As well as the fact that I write about chicken way too much. I don’t really even like chicken all that much.)
