100_2223.jpg
So, this is my husband John.
I Love John.
John is Hot.
John also may be crazy…
He is going camping with the boys tonight.  That’s right, camping in February.
Sleeping outside… without tents… in the middle of nowhere…wild animals might eat you…camping.
Today’s forecast…
High: 46° Low: 27°
crazy.

I do enjoy his construction guy/ I’m about to rob your house attire.

Love you sweetie. ;)

Family Night…

100_2211.jpg

This weeks family night was an easy one.

Chick-fil-a, Ice Cream and a trip to Tar-jay.  Everybody was happy. :)

David hung out with the cow (and yes his face is actually the color of his shirt…play-land) and Rachel screamed every time the cow came near her.

This mascot has obviously been punched by a few kids in his day, so he backed off pretty quickly.

Poor kid has some awful aversion to large furry mascots.  It all started with Chuck E. Cheese. (and she made sure we knew tonight she didn’t the the cow or that mouse.)

Fun time.  We love Chick-Fil-A!

Nooma/Open

The new Nooma video came out this month! (YEAH)

I love the discussions that come from these videos.  The newest one looks like it may be the best one yet. (atleast to me)

You got that from where???

I have to admit, I’m very interested in these people…

(and not just because there were some Freegans on Oprah yesterday with Lisa Ling.   :)   By the way…Lisa Ling is cool because I watched her in middle school on CHANNEL_ONE! )

Freeganism

I don’t think I have what it takes to live a lifestyle like this.

I see the value in what they are doing though.

 It makes you think.

How much am I wasting?  What else could I be doing with the money I throw into needless things.

It’s easy to waste when you have the money to go out and buy more.  There have been times when we didn’t have the money…and I was much more cautious.

What amazes me about these people is some of them are doctors and engineers…money is not the issue.  It’s a political statement pure and simple.

Could I live like this if I knew I had the money to run out and buy what I wanted.  Probably not.

FREEGAN’S_ON_OPRAH

( I love the lady in the video that said she goes on the trash tour and then brings the stuff into work the next day!  Just another reason why pot lucks are a bad idea!)

I don’t know why.

Dogster

Fresno
Did you know there is a doggie myspace???
I didn’t until I  signed up for the Free Febreeze Pet Owners Kit Tammy posted here at savewiththescotts.
Sometimes I do stupid things to get free stuff in the mail…It’s a weakness.
People are pretty serious about this stuff though.

Total dogs on Dogster: 375,237
Dogs added yesterday: 562
Dogs added so far today: 59

wow.

Maybe Fresno can find a girlfriend on here. ;)

Broaster Chicken?

So, I gotta know.

Is this the Broaster Chicken we were   talking  about the other day?

broasted-chicken.jpg

It’s in a gas station.  In the middle of nowhere.

So, it must be good chicken…right?

I might have to trust you on this one.

Ouch, that one stings a little.

Has anyone read or heard anything about this book?

CHECK_IT_OUT

This is the books description from the website… (I didn’t write this…I haven’t read the book yet…)

“Many non-Christians find the behavior of some Christians more off-putting than inviting. Some Christians do too! Bruce Bickel and Stan Jantz take a refreshingly honest and often humorous look at some believers’ outlandish behaviors. This candid book will bridge the communication gap, helping Christians share their beliefs more freely without…

  • Judgmental attitudes, hypocrisy, and condemnation
  • Confusing mixtures of politics and the gospel
  • Defensive positions in the “God vs. Science” debate

Bickel and Jantz encourage Christians to avoid making uninformed opinions about the beliefs of others. At the same time, they help unbelievers discover the truth about God without becoming distracted by Christian behavior and unprofessional Christian media and entertainment. This passionate call to authentic Christianity will help believers and non-Christians alike move past peripheral issues and communicate openly and honestly about God.”

I’m interested!!!  I love books like these.

But… what do you think?

Do you think books like these help or hurt?

Peanut Butter and Jelly.

So, I’ve pre-paid 50 dollars on my son’s schools lunch account.

And… he refuses to eat lunch at school.

Everyday he wants peanut butter sandwich,  apple juice box, 2 Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies, baggie of grapes.

I was getting frustrated until this beef recall happened.

His school system had 300 cases of beef affected by this recall.  I’m sure it isn’t a reflection of the entire system.

But still, Good call Kid.

Peanut butter sandwich it is!

No Lave Su Teléfono Celular

Yep.

Wasn’t a good idea to let my new_phone go for a little swim.

Although it’s a cool little phone it doesn’t handle water well. (go figure)

Seeing that this is the second phone I have destroyed by water lately….I probably should have went for a more amanda proof model.

I’m starting to think I need one of those huge plastic toddler phones instead of an adult phone. ( one with Elmo might be nice)

Anyway.

Thank God for Insurance…It make this lesson a little less expensive.

And my new phone just arrived via the DHL man.

I’ll be running up the bill with my texting in no time.

Nice.
