Ok, these cars are finding me now.
Look who I found in the parking lot of a shopping center this afternoon…
(from the people who brought you the “You’re Going to Hell Mobile”)
Comes the “You Might be Going to Hell Sedan.”
It’s gets better gas mileage…it’s more compact and is slightly less offensive…

I’ve got nothing to say….
just amused…

Everyday I pass this…
I’ve affectionately named it the “You’re going to Hell Mobile”

Every now and then you find that song that seems to hit you right where you live… and you can’t get it out of your head.
This one is mine…
The band is Need to Breath. (and this is the first and only song of theirs I’ve heard….but I’ll be checking out their other stuff for sure…I like these guys…and I’m not big on the CCM scene…they seem different though)
If you need me…I’ll be sitting here hitting play repeatedly while I’m working…

If there is one thing I know it’s the Roman numeral four looks like this IV…
I know this because in 5Th grade I had the meanest Ohio History teacher that embarrassed me in front of my entire class for making it wrong on a paper outline… (the paper was about Mawmee Indian tribe …and she never wore matching shoes… one black and one blue… she couldn’t really see her feet all that well…so I’m assuming that why she clashed and maybe why she was so grouchy.)
So looking at the clock in the lobby someone pointed out …well…number four was wrong…
(the shock and horror)
a quick look over my shoulder…no 5th grade teacher…everything was good…
But you know me…I had to google it.
Here’s the Straight Dope….
But it looks like know one knows why for sure…

I’m not really sure how it’s possible when you have a blog about nothing to get bloggers block…but I like to prove that all things are possible!
So today is Wednesday… and I’m not sure how it snuck up so fast! I’ve been so busy lately my head has been spinning.
I’ll be in the church office most my day. I’m not sure how I got tricked into another job…I guess I’m not nearly as smart as I think I am.
I do plan to bail out a little early to meet the ladies at Ginza. There is just something about Japanese. I think I’m addicted. (I haven’t been in a month…so maybe not that addicted!)
Tonight at Church the Down by the Wayside Choir will be at church raising money and collecting coats and blankets for their Wayside mission in Louisville, Ky.
This is one of the Highlights of the year at the Church….or at least it is to me…
This is homeless shelter that goes above and beyond. Not only do they allow people to come and be cared for they seek out the homeless and bring them in to care for them. (especially when the weather is bad) They have many important ministries within Wayside Mission itself…but the best I think is they offer a 1 year no charge recovery program. Wayside isn’t a quick fix ministry, but they help people get better and stay better.
I love being able to support this ministry.
The Down By the Wayside Choir is made up of recovery clients.
Here is a short.. (poor Quality
) clip from last year.
You brought me from a Mighty Long Way…
Can’t we all sing that one….
I’m really excited they are coming tonight!

and yesterday was Fresno’s…
We had an operation blessing with about 260 soldiers about to finish basic training at the church yesterday.
So….I though our crazy Siberian husky would probably be a great treat for these guys who had been away from their homes, families and own pets for so long.
He had never been walked, played with, ran with, petted and made over so much in his life…

This was the coolest operation blessing ever…
The games were awesome…the food was good…and the band was loud…
There was nothing better in my opinion than watching 260 uniformed soldiers jumping, clapping and singing to future decided.
Every time a new group of guys come to operation blessing and we get to spend time with them I am amazed at the sacrifice they are making. I got to see a lot of pictures of babies that haven’t been held by their dad’s yet and little kids that can’t understand where daddy is and why he isn’t home with them. ( One guy told me his wife was on bed rest at home with three small children she was caring for alone while he was away… I can’t even imagine…)
This time I met a 19 year old from South Carolina… A guy from Fresno. (who didn’t really like dogs…kinda ironic)… A Police officer from Northern Indiana… A father of 3 1/2 from Chicago… A kid who looked about 15 who had three dogs he missed terribly at home….I met a lot of sons, fathers, husbands and brothers….
We were told 80% of these men are on their way to see active duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Leaving most of my political commentary out of it…it breaks my heart.
There seems something terribly tragic about it all.
What was far from tragic was last night about 180 of those men went for prayer following the service and many either asked Jesus to be the lord of their lives last night or rededicated…
That’s awesome.
We’ll be praying for them.
